I aim to give young people an experience of joy and success in learning. Those who embrace learning are more likely to discover their talents and passion, and go on to find meaningful work and fulfillment in life.

All young people are naturally inquisitive and eager to learn. My role as a teacher is to respond to and build on a student's particular strengths, interests, and needs.

Learning looks different for different people, and tutoring provides a time and space for individualized and responsive instruction.

During our work together, I give students the tools, language and ideas necessary to be effective thinkers and confident students.

I begin my work with students by finding out what they know.   I then engage them with hands-on learning, open-ended conversation, and real world problem-solving to help deepen understanding of the topic.
